My first Mardi Gras was one long dance party. It was magical, exhausting, and not at all scary as feared. And after all that fun, it was perfect medicine to take a seat in front of the Mississippi River. Many told me that Mardi Gras is the New Years Eve of New Orleans. True to the idea of New Years Eve, it was impossible not to reflect on my move here and wonder what the fates hold.
