And yes, tis true, that 13 Alabama Ghosts and Jeffrey was required reading for local history. Just reading the snippets in the essay makes me crave to put on some hot tea and revisit these wonderfully awful tales. And to take some time out and write something pulpy about Confederate soldiers and ships gone down. RIP Kathryn Tucker Windham.
