finalist news

I recently got the news that I'm top-twenty finalist in the novel-in-progress category for Narrow Pilgrim in the 2012 William Faulkner -William Wisdom Competition. This prize is open to anyone, anywhere but is part of Words and Music, a New Orleans literary festival developed by Faulkner House Books. The finalists are culled from two cuts after hundreds of applicants and sent to an agent. Regardless of what comes of it, it's exciting to see my novel moving so far along the reader's hands and up to the final duel.
